Reluctantly crouched at the starting line…

he really was saying, "hi mom!"

Today was the Jog-a-Thon at my son’s school. It’s the biggest fundraiser they do all year and a really big deal. I took a break from work to go and cheer on the kids as they run, walk, jog, skip, meander around the track.

Here’s a snippet!

It was a beautiful day to be outside, sunny and 80°. D wasn’t that into it. He jogged some and even sprinted a bit but he walked for most of it. All in all, he logged 20 laps around the track and got some good cardio for the day (score!). Afterwards, the kids gathered on the picnic benches, gulped water and snacked on oranges and graham crackers. That was a lot of activity before noon!

Then I trudged back to work, had a protein shake and a lovely grapefruit. I’ve forgotten how much I love them. I sprinkled a little salt on top and it was super yum.
